Ahead of City’s return to CCS on Saturday afternoon, Will Fish spoke to the press.
With a top of the table clash up next for the Bluebirds, Will expressed his excitement at facing the Bantams in the Welsh capital.
“It’s one we’re looking forward to,” he began. “Everyone knows the importance. We’ve got off to a great start and so have they.
“The stadium will be rocking but we can’t get carried away. We’ll do everything we can to come away with three points.
“I think with the fans behind us, we really feel that energy. The more we keep winning, it’s only going to get better. We just need to make this a really hard place to come to and make sure we pick up as many points as possible at home.”

Reflecting on the performances so far this season, the centre-back discussed the impact that youth has had thus far on the City squad, as well as the competition for places that success on the pitch brings.
“We knew we’d have a strong team for this league, but at the same time, some of the games that we’ll play will probably be harder than some of the games we played last season, especially the away matches.
“This league is no pushover. There’s a long way to go and we’ll see how it goes.
“I think it’s a credit to the Club and the Academy staff that have worked with our younger players to get to this point.
“They’ve had a lot of pressure on them to come in, but every young player that has played has been exceptional.
“I feel good within myself. I’ve tried to buy into what the manager wants, his way of playing and the aggression he wants on the pitch.
“I’m happy with myself at the minute but I don’t want to get carried away. There’s a lot of strong competition in this position now, I’m trying to do the best I can.
“His standards in training, you have to be on it every day. You have to train how you play. If training is sloppy, you can bring that into the weekend.
“It’s far more enjoyable when training is at a high level and everyone is fighting for their spot in the team.”

As Saturday’s fixture will mark the Club’s Community Foundation Day, Will concluded by commenting on his involvement with City’s official charity.
“My experiences with the Community Foundation took me by surprise from when I joined the Club,” he explained. “I knew that Cardiff is a big city with a family feel to the place, but it’s something that I personally want to get more involved in, and give back to the fans, city and community that support us every week.
“If as many people buy into it and spread awareness as possible, then it’s only going to get better. It’s in a really good place at the minute!
“It gives you the sense of how people can look up to you as a footballer, and the stuff you can do away from the pitch is just as important. Five minutes of your day could make someone’s whole week, so it’s a really good thing that we’ve got in place.”
