Brian Barry-Murphy addressed the press at Cardiff City Stadium on Thursday, ahead of Saturday's home fixture against Doncaster Rovers.
With the Bluebirds preparing for another match following Tuesday's victory over Stevenage, Brian cited his desire for City to maintain consistency in their preparations.
“Their recent form might not be what they’ve wanted," Brian began. "But they’re a highly technical team who play good football.
"For us, going away to a game like Stevenage on Tuesday, you very quickly have to refocus on today’s session, and that will lead you very nicely into Saturday and you won’t have any problems.
"The challenge for our players again is to find consistency and not take any day for granted. If that remains the case, we’ll be fine.”
Following four successive victories in League One, the Head Coach reflected on recent weeks as City seek continued improvement in performances.
“I think we have to show over the course of the season that we are improving in the different challenges that we face," he continued. “Stevenage are a very good team, especially in their home stadium, so for us to play so well was very satisfying and I think we are making progress in that area.
“We’re constantly trying to improve all aspects of our game, and that is a very important part of competitive football at every level.
"The more that our players are exposed to that type of challenge, you want to hope that they will improve. By training so hard and so often, we’re seeing clear signs that we are.
“I’m very pleased with the performances, I feel like we’re in a good place. Obviously we believe that we can improve a lot, we’re very pleased with each result and performances for large parts, but there’s still a lot that we can take from it to improve.
"We believe that we will get stronger as the season goes on and that remains our objective."
Providing an injury update, Brian concluded: “Generally we’ve got nothing to worry about, a few bumps and bruises.
"Will Fish had a nasty collision with the boards at the side of the pitch and a gash to his head, but he’s pretty tough and more often than not he declares himself fit!
“Ollie Tanner is back for his first day of full training today, so that will be good for him. Gabriel Osho is also back in partial training, so that’s good news on his foot injury, where there’s no fracture and we can build him back up quickly as well."
