City boss Brian Barry-Murphy sat down with the press ahead of our Sky Bet League One fixture against Leyton Orient on Saturday.

“We feel energised and ready to go again,” Brian began. “We reflected on Tuesday night and we’re trying to learn as much as possible. For us as coaching staff, it’s important to take away key points - what went well and what we could be better at.

“It’s important that we are ready for all the challenges that we will face and equip the players with solutions.”

Brian continued by giving a fitness update, with a couple of players being doubts for Saturday’s clash.

“Alex Robertson is in full training, he’s currently building up his volume of training.

“Perry [Ng] came off on Tuesday with a hamstring injury, he’ll be assessed today. He is a doubt for Saturday.

“Isaak Davies is fully fit and trained today. Gabriel Osho hasn’t trained this week and will be assessed this afternoon.”

Our opponents on Saturday reached the League One Play-Off final last season.

“They have many different ways of playing,” Brian continued. “I think they’re a very adaptable team and they have a clear identity. They can build-up from the back - they’re really progressive. But in certain games they can be direct and get in behind the backline with their attackers’ exceptional movement.

“Once we’ve acknowledged their strengths, it comes back to what we can do to hurt them. It’s dangerous for us to presume what our opponents are going to do.

"We’re looking to produce another performance that gives us the best chance to win.

“The players have to be open-minded and consistently focused on improving all parts of their game. On Saturday, we need to trust that we have the tools to cope with the challenge we face.”
