Joel Colwill spoke to the press to preview our Sky Bet League One clash at Luton Town's Kenilworth Road on Saturday.
The Bluebirds head into the fixture unbeaten this campaign, with ten points from a possible 12, as well as victory in the Carabao Cup over Swindon Town.
"It’s been a really good season so far," Joel began. "Results-wise, we’re undefeated and we’re playing good football. I’m enjoying it and I think it’s as enjoyable to watch as it is to play.
"The loan experiences that I had were important to go out and get minutes. Coming back now, hopefully I can use that experience to play as much as I can this season. It’s great to be back at Cardiff City.
"Brian has been brilliant. The first day that he came in, he set the standards that he wants. It’s been great so far and I’ve enjoyed it.
"He’s come in and shown what we need to do both on and off the pitch. There’s a clear identity in the way that he wants to play. The way that he expects us to perform is high.
"We’ve had lots of possession in games and everyone likes having the ball in football, don’t they? It’s been really good.
"It’s high tempo, high press. It’s hard to play it, it takes a lot of effort and it’s a lot of work rate, but I think that does suit my game, so I’m really enjoying it."

Joel has been operating in midfield, combining with his brother Rubin, who has shone in the role of City's vice-captain.
The midfielder continued: “It’s unbelievable to play with Rubin. Just before I went out on loan, we played a couple of games together towards the back end of the campaign two seasons ago.
"But now, to walk out with him for that first game against Peterborough United, that’s what we’ve both dreamed of since we were five years old. It means everything and it’s a really proud moment for me and my family.
"We’ve always trained and played together. In lockdown, we were playing two-touch in the garden and we’d always be playing football. I remember around the 60th minute against Peterborough United and there was a bit of a stop in play.
"I looked around the stadium and there was a lot of people in the stadium, then I saw Rubin and thought ‘this is crazy’. Me and him both playing together in front of thousands of people, it was a surreal moment and one I’m really proud of.
"He always gives me advice. When I was out on loan, the two people I’d ring after a game was my dad and my brother. I always take that advice because with him being my older brother, the amount of games he’s played and the experience he has, I’m trying to learn from him."

Saturday's opponents, Luton Town, have recorded nine points from the opening four matches, with three wins and one defeat.
"They’ll be a big, physical team, who will be very good aerially, as well as on the floor," Joel added. "They’ll have strong runners, so we’re going to have to limit them aerially and play our football. It’s up to us to break them down and that’s what we’ll try to do.
"There’s definitely more to come from us. The manager has come in and brought his way of playing football. We’re only a few games in and we’re getting better at doing what he’s asking us to do in each game.
"By the time it gets to Christmas, hopefully we’ll be flying with the way that he wants us to do things and I think there’s more to expect.
"The fans have been brilliant for us. They’ve travelled in numbers really well. Since I’ve been back, it’s my first real season in the First Team and they’ve been really good with me.”
