Ahead of Saturday's return to Sky Bet League One action, Omari Kellyman spoke to the press at CCS.
Having joined the Bluebirds on loan from Chelsea in September, the forward shared his thoughts on enjoying regular football in the Welsh capital following injury last season.
“It’s taken a bit of getting used to," Omari began. "We’ve had a schedule with a lot of games back to back, which is something that I’ve not done for a long time.
“The international breaks help me a lot because it’s given me some time where I can reset.
"I’m putting my body through a lot at the minute so the breaks are good so that I’m ready to get back to a place where I can go again.
“It was really difficult. It was a whole season where I was going in every day to do rehab and it was tough.
"I think you sort of lose sight a little bit of why you’re doing it. Now I’m here playing games again, it’s a nice reminder of why the dark times are good to come back from.”
Turning his attention towards a busy run of fixtures throughout the final weeks of the year, the forward discussed the importance of the matches to the season, as well as his own development under Brian Barry-Murphy.
"I didn't know a lot about Cardiff before I came here but I'm liking it," Omari continued. "Looking before I joined, I noticed that it was quite a young squad, which is always an appealing factor.
"It was one of the things that pulled me toward the club, and the manager as well.
“He has been great with me, and I think it’s great that he’s patient because of where I was starting from. He’s helped me a lot."
Concluding, Kellyman added: “I’m confident and look at every game as an opportunity, so we’ve got opportunities to get points and progress in the league. I want to play anywhere that I can make things happen."
