Ahead of this weekend’s fixture against the Millers, Chris Willock spoke to the press at CCS.
With another away trip coming up on Saturday, Chris reflected on his enjoyment of the recent run of form City have enjoyed, with the Bluebirds arriving in South Yorkshire unbeaten in nine matches.
“I’m really enjoying it,” Chris began. “I think we’ve done well and we need to keep working and hopefully things will continue this way.
“I think it’s been a long season already but we have a lot of games to go. We have to keep producing the goods to keep winning. Training hard is the most important thing and surely then the results will take care of themselves.
“I’m just enjoying it; when I’m playing well I’m enjoying myself, playing how I can at the top end of the pitch with freedom.
“We’ve got a lot of talented players who are thriving in this system. We’re enjoying ourselves and you’re seeing performances week in, week out, so we’re expecting a lot more.
“We’ve showed in the past that if we’ve had a little bump, we’ve been back at it and ready to go, where everyone is hungry.
“It would be terrific if we win on Saturday, and I’m looking forward to it.”
Concluding, the forward discussed City’s approach fixtures one match at a time, as we continue further into the second half of the campaign.
“I think that teams up their game when they look to play us,” Chris explained. “We’ve got a squad to deal with it, and we don’t focus too much on who’s at the top of the table, we’re really focussed on each game and everything game is different.
“It’s been difficult, but I’m sure that we’ll still be there at the end of the season, hopefully."
