Brian Barry-Murphy spoke to the press ahead of Saturday’s home clash against Sheffield United.
With the Bluebirds announcing the arrival of permanent signing Krystian Bielik on Wednesday evening, BBM expressed his excitement at welcoming the proven Poland international to South Wales.
“We’re very pleased,” began Brian. “He’s a player that we’ve been aware of for a very long time, so to finally have him in the Club is huge for everyone.
“His qualities are obvious: he’s a highly technical player and has played at a very high level for a very long time.
"I think the most important thing for me was to have a really belief and sense of his ambition to improve, kick on and do more with his career, because he’s still a young player for someone with so much experience.
"He’s demonstrated that hunger in spades and his desire to play for the Club was very evident and that’s always the most important thing.”
As the second fixture of the week at CCS approaches, Brian now looks forward to seeing the home crowds return for an exciting league fixture against the Blades.
“On Saturday we’ll be doing everything possible to take on a team who have been promoted, who have done it, and are probably expected to do it again this season, so it’s the highest possible challenge for us, but it’s one that we’ve worked to be here and we’ll give it everything to try and win.”
He concluded: “We feel as though we’re going really well, growing into the season and performing.
"The support we’ve had is incredible, so on Saturday I think we’ll have a huge following which will show our stadium in the best possible light, and our job is to enhance that with our performance, which we believe will give us a great chance to win.”
