City defender Perry Ng spoke to the assembled press ahead of our weekend clash with Sheffield United.
Our number 38 was named in the PFA Team of the Year for 2025/26 at the Award ceremony on Tuesday.
"I'm buzzing," Perry began. "I'm made up. It's an honour that all the other players voted for me.
"It's a nice touch to finish that season.”
Normally operating at right-back, Perry has been called upon to feature at the heart of defence to begin this season with our usual four central defenders suffering with injuries.
He continued: "I think my centre half partner Joel Bagan has been fantastic. I think I'll have to give him a mention.
"Since he stepped in there, he marked Kieffer [Moore] in the Wrexham game then he marked big [Carlton] Morris for Derby.
"I think he's been unbelievable. I think we've handled it quite well. Playing against probably the two biggest strikers in the league it is going to be tough for me and Joel. But, I thought we dealt with it quite well. And I thought we were unlucky not to win at Derby.
"It's good to sign [Krystian] Bielik. Hopefully we’ll be in a stronger place this weekend."
