City’s new number eight introduced himself to our fan base with the winning goal on his debut last weekend against Swindon Town.

"It was really enjoyable,” said Jack. "I didn't play in the game here last year as I was injured. It was a smaller crowd but to play out there and be involved was great and to get a feel for it.

"The goal is hopefully what I'll bring to the team and I’ll be aiming for many more to come."

Moylan netted 13 goals for the Imps last season, before choosing to join up with Brian Barry-Murphy’s Bluebirds over the summer months. He was extremely complimentary of the boss as well as his previous side.

Jack added: "It was hard to leave the club. I had some really good years there. Last year, of course, was exceptional for what we did.

"As a footballer you have a very short career, so when you get an opportunity like this to play for such a massive football club it's something you can't turn down.

"I think a lot of people at Lincoln understood. It was definitely a no-brainer to want to come here.

"I'm going to back myself to be even better than last year. You're in the wrong game or you're at the wrong Club if you aren't going to back yourself when you come into the building.

"I knew lads Brian was with at Rochdale and Manchester City and I knew the name - it's famous in Ireland as his dad is a famous sportsman there. I've always known his name and watched his teams.

"When I found out about the move I asked a few people and they couldn't have given any more high a praise.

"Everyone spoke so fondly of him. When you hear it from countless people, it's always a good sign."

City’s first game back in the Championship is an all-Welsh clash against the Red Dragons live on Sky.

"This is what it is about,” Jack stated. "You get out of the bed in the morning to play in games like these. You don't want to be anywhere else in the country this weekend - this is the game to play in. As a player you don't need any extra motivation. I really can't wait for it.

"I watched it on Sky last season. I remember watching Will Fish scoring the winner and the away end was bouncing. They'll have a great following as well and they'll be right behind their team.

"First game of the season on top of that, whatever Club you are at, it is always a massive game. It is important to get off to a good start.

"Let's not forget, we're going out to win the game. No two ways about it. It's the most important thing - three points to get us on our way and hopefully climb up the table."
