Cardiff City FC are delighted to announce Ronan Kpakio has signed a new contract with the Club.
Ronan has agreed a new deal, that will run until the summer of 2029.

The young full-back has been a key player under Brian Barry-Murphy this season. The 18-year-old has featured in every competitive game for City in 2025/26, adding to the six appearances he made last term. His first Bluebirds goal came in spectacular fashion, striking a brilliant winner against Peterborough United at Cardiff City Stadium on 2025/26 opening day.
Earlier this month, Kpakio became a full Welsh international too, starting for Craig Bellamy’s side against Canada.

After signing his agreement, Ronan spoke to Cardiff City TV.
“I’m delighted to get this done,” he began. “I had to show in pre-season that I was capable of getting a spot in this team. There is a young group of players in our team from the Academy and that is an exciting thing for us to be trusted by the First Team management. Brian really believes in us. I feel I can be confident on and off the ball. It's what you dream of.
“As a young player, I take bits off everyone. I take every piece of advice I can get. I know I need to keep working hard, stay grounded and stay humble.”
