City boss Brian Barry-Murphy spoke to the press following the 3-0 victory over Rotherham United.
The Bluebirds showed heart and quality in a dominant performance, despite playing most of the match with ten men.
"I'm very pleased with the personality my players showed," Brian began. "I thought from the first minute we were intent on playing our game and we continued to do that with ten men. I didn't have any doubts that we would. We reminded the players how well we were playing in the game, how dominant we were and for them not to take a step back at any time.
"The players were true to that. They continued to attack at every chance and scored some good goals for our supporters, who travelled in extraordinary numbers again.
"I was confident we would win but the main thing for me today was the mentality the players had to show. We wanted to be aggressive.
"I was really pleased with the impact of the bench too. It was a real collective effort today."
The City boss also gave a word on the fans, who were phenomenal at the AESSEAL New York Stadium in support of their team.
"They were incredible. They were really special from the start of the game but there seemed to be an extra energy from them when Ryan [Wintle] got sent off.
"That was a test for us. The energy every time we attacked from the stand was incredible and drove us forward. It is an important factor in the second half where we can sit in and defend or keep going for goals and that's what we wanted to do on behalf of them and give them a very special day.
"Hopefully they all get home safe and are good to go again next week."
