Rotherham United Reaction | Ollie Tanner

Ollie Tanner spoke to the press following a brilliant result at Rotherham United in which the Bluebirds, who were down to ten men for much of the contest, earned a 3-0 win.

The City winger continued his fine form to record two assists, taking his tally up to six in his last five appearances.

“It’s a significant win, especially going down to ten men so early," Ollie began. "It was nice to get the win in the fashion we did.

“We kept doing what we always do. We have a way of playing, whether it’s with 11 or 10, we keep playing the same way.

“Those are the manager’s ideas and that’s what we’ll always look to bring to the pitch. We decided that we’re still going to play.

“Me and Chris Willock looked to make things happen and sticking to what we do got us the win today.

“There’s so much trust in him and the way he tells us to play. We’ll keep looking to bring that.”

City's no.11 made his return from injury at the end of 2025, coming on as a substitute against Stevenage, Wycombe Wanderers and Wigan Athletic, before making his full return against Leyton Orient.

Tanner has started every game since, with an inclusion in the XI in six consecutive matches.

Ollie continued: “I’m feeling good and really fit. I’m thankful to the manager and the staff for the condition that they’ve got me back in.

"They’ve given me a lot of opportunities, I’m happy with the way I’m playing and how we’re playing collectively.

“To win 3-0 with ten men today, it sends out a statement. That’s what we always want to do and to do it our way."

Next up for the Bluebirds is a home double-header with clashes against Luton Town and AFC Wimbledon.

“We don’t look too far ahead and we keep going from game to game," Ollie added. "We always look to keep our feet on the ground and deal with the situation at hand. Now, we look ahead to Saturday.

“We want teams to fear us and have that fear factor when we come to different stadiums and when teams come to our place, we don’t want them to look forward to it.

"The aim is always to impose our game. If we keep doing what we’re doing like we did today, we’ll be up there."
