City boss Sabri Lamouchi...

Sabri pre-RUFC | We have to be ready

Interviews
City boss Sabri Lamouchi completed his pre-match press duties on Friday morning ahead of the trip to Rotherham United.

"We're in a good position after Wednesday," Sabri began. "We have one more training session ahead of the game.

"Connor Wickham will train. We'll see how he comes through. If he doesn't feel anything he will travel with us to Rotherham.

"The players know what they have to do tomorrow. We know what sort of game we'll face. It isn't an easy place to go and get points.

"We'll try to do a great performance and get the best result."

One point is all that is between the Millers and the Bluebirds going into Saturday's game, in a situation where every point matters.

Sabri continued: "It's, of course, really important the attitude and the performance on the pitch. But in our situation, the results are the most crucial thing.

"Our last performance, against West Brom, felt like a win to me. In our situation, with missing players and a different system, we came back and we got a point against a good team. I was really happy about the result.

"The Championship league - it's tough. It's about never giving up and fighting until the end. It will be that even this year. It's absolutely difficult for many, many clubs.

"We're looking just for ourselves. We're looking to get out of it [the relegation fight] as soon as possible. To go out, we need to be united. We need to work hard every day and be ready on the weekend for the game.

"For us, we have just one target right now - to play Championship football next season. We just want to get the points as quickly as possible to be safe."
