City’s number five Krystian Bielik spoke with the assembled media following his debut in Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Sheffield United.
The newest Bluebird put in a strong display against the Blades, and even went mightily close to opening his goalscoring account for the Club, but the away defence held strong to take a point from the fixture.
"I think we had a little bit of a shaky first half, especially the first 20 minutes," Krystian said. "Then, especially in the second half, it felt like there was only one team on the pitch.
"I think we created chances. We had some great chances to score goals. On another day, we will probably get the full three points.
"I think coming from League One, there is a young team with a great manager who the players love and they will jump into the fire for him.
"We play very good football and, honestly, if we can get a bit more clinical in the final third and we can be a bit more stable at the back, we can beat any team in this division."
While Krystian may have only been at the Club a short period of time, his teammates have very clearly made a strong impression on the former Arsenal, West Bromwich Albion and Birmingham City man.
Krystian added: "It's my first game and my honest opinion is we have some scary players up front. When you're on the pitch with them, either on the training pitch or in a game today, you can see that whenever they turn with the ball and they drive forward and the chances they create, we create on the sides, Sheffield United couldn't cope. They couldn't cope with the energy and the quality that we have up there.
"For us centre-backs, we have to work hard to make sure that our offensive players have an enjoyable game, they can express themselves in the final third and create chances to, at the end of the game, win the game. Our job is to protect the back and make sure we concede fewer goals.
"Unfortunately, on Saturday it didn't work fully, but I think for the fans, for the people that watch, every person that knows a little bit about football will agree with me that we were much more dominant."
