City's win over Stevenage on Monday evening marked a seventh straight home league victory, and a seventh win from eight games in the league for Brian Barry-Murphy's side.
Equally as pleasing was seeing the first match minutes for winger Ollie Tanner following his return from a long-term injury.
Cardiff City TV caught up with Ollie following the conclusion of the match.
"It's been a delight to watch the boys for the last four months, frustrating, but nice to watch a winning side," Ollie began. "It was tough to take, but the boss has ingrained in us that never stop attitude and that's what I'm willing to give to the team. That situation put me out for a long time, but I'd still go for it again. It's frustrating, but that's football.
"The boys have made it that bit sweeter by playing the football they're playing and we're at the top of the table."
Ollie was out of action for over four months. Our number 11 though was full of praise for the support he received from City staff and teammates.
He continued: "It's been tough. More mentally that anything. You never want to get injured at the start of the season.
"Once the surgery was done, it was time to rehab. The boys, the manager and the staff have been brilliant.
"Ronan [Kpakio] did a similar sort of thing. He was very comforting and helped put my mind at ease with any queries I had. He was a big support in my rehab. I thank him a lot for that."
The Bluebirds came up against a defiant Stevenage side, who were as tough to break down at CCS as they were away from home earlier this month. But, Brian Barry-Murphy's side again found a way.
Ollie concluded: "If teams want to come here and sit behind the ball, we've got ways to deal with that. If teams come here and come at us, we have ways of handling that too.
"We have a plan A-Z. I think that's what the manager wants from us and I think that's what we showed tonight. Whatever plan any teams come with, we have to show we have a solution to it."
