City's U17s began their Premier League Cup campaign with a win at home against West Bromwich Albion.

The Bluebirds produced an impressive performance to defeat Category One outfit, West Bromwich Albion.
City found a deserved opener from a free-kick that hit the woodwork, only for Taona Nyakuhwa to be on hand to fire in.
The second goal came from Gruff Evans, who found space in the box and showed great composure to finish past the goalkeeper.
In this competition, the side are also in a group with Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal, with the result over the Baggies giving them a platform to build on.

"We're delighted, the boys were top. We've had a tough start to the league for the U18s so we were looking to bounce back. The behaviours today were top and in the last few weeks, the coaches have spoken to us about that.
"The lads that started and the ones who came on, everyone played their part.
"In this competition facing Category One sides, we're going into every game knowing that we're not going to be favourites but we're excited by that challenge. We believe in our ability. I thought we deserved it today for working our socks off.
"As a striker, you just want to score goals. I've been coming on off the bench for the U18s and feel like I've been playing well but to get that goal, it's a relief. There are parts of the game that I can improve on but to get on the scoresheet and get off the mark for the season is a great feeling."

"I've learned a lot from playing U18s football so far this season. You always want to make a good impression but at times it can be challenging if you make a mistake. But, it's not always going to be perfect and you have to keep learning.
"I'm very happy with the campaign so far and I'm pleased that I'm being pushed. I'm playing at a higher age group and getting that experience is really important.
"We're excited for Tuesday's game because it will be a new challenge. I'm confident that the boys can produce a positive performance.
"Playing Tuesday and again on Saturday is a great experience because it prepares you for First Team football. We have a long away day on Saturday and being able to adapt to a new environment is key."

"It has been a big step this summer. Going into full-time football is not an easy transition and there will be a lot of challenges but it has gone well so far. We're going to have a lot of opportunities during the scholarship.
"Going into Tuesday, we can take a lot from the U18 games. It's about taking that forward, working on those things in training and giving ourselves a platform for a good performance.
"Doing well in the cup last season was important for us as it's allowed us to be in this competition this year, which we're excited for. We have a big opportunity in this competition to showcase our talent against Category One opposition.
"These are the games you want to play in. We want to show what we've been working on in training and how it has impacted our performance levels."
