City U18’s are back in Professional Development League Cup action this weekend as the young Bluebirds make the short trip east to face Bristol City.
The encounter will get underway at 11am on Saturday, November 7th at the Robins High-Performance Centre, Bristol.

“It’s been a brilliant start for us. We’ve shown that we’re a really strong side even though we’re quite young with a lot of first year scholars but despite that, our quality still shines through.
“Individually, It’s been great to get on the scoresheet a couple of times already this season, but I want to kick on from here and go into the new year performing really well both individually and as a collective.
“QPR is always a really difficult place to go, and we didn't get the chance to showcase our style of football. However, we’re a really strong side in terms of squad morale and we need to learn from our mistakes and not allow Bristol City to take control on the weekend.
“Bristol City are really strong defensively; they put their bodies on the line and they’re very direct and aggressive in the way that they play. We have to expect high-quality counter-attacks and it’s very important to be wary of their quality all over the pitch.
“As a squad everyone has gelled really well, even the newer boys that came in during the summer. Everyone is happy and confident which is key going into a derby like this weekend and the South Wales derby in December.”
RECENT RESULTS
City come into this encounter off the back of a tough 3-0 defeat away to QPR last weekend in only the young Bluebirds’ third League loss of the campaign.
Prior to this, two successful results saw City dismantle Bristol City 3-0 at home with Jacob Norris and Leo Papirnyk getting on the scoresheet.
This was followed by a tight 2-2 draw to Millwall where a Gruff Evans chip and a Millwall own goal sealed a point for City at the Cardiff International Sports Campus.

REACHING THE GROUND
The ground is located 14 minutes away from Failand Crossroads bus stop which is accessible from Bristol Temple Meads train station.
There is no on-site parking at the facility for spectators, but spectators can pre-book parking at the QEH School Sports Ground, located next door to the facility.
