City's U18s continue their Professional Development League campaign with an away clash against Huddersfield Town.
The fixture will take place at Canalside Training Ground on Saturday, September 5th, with a kick-off time of 11am.
PRE-MATCH | ELLIS YORKE
“We had a really positive pre-season, a few new lads have come in, we’ve bonded really well and have formed a really strong team.
“Our squad have played good football so far this season, some of the spells of play that we’ve had have been great, but it's just about getting the points to come with that now.
“The aim is to keep building in training, keep working hard, keep doing what we’re doing and over time, that consistency will come.
“We’re expecting Huddersfield to be a real challenge away from home. The plan is to go there with the mindset that we always have - to work hard and give everything.”
RECENT RESULTS
The young Bluebirds come into this fixture off the back of a 3-1 defeat to Swindon Town in the U18 PDL.
An early Logan Cartwright goal wasn’t enough for ten man City to claim all three points as the visitors capitalised on their numerical advantage late in the game.
In midweek, the side competed in the Premier League Cup at U17 level and claimed an impressive 2-0 win over Category One outfit West Bromwich Albion.
Taona Nyakuhwa and Gruff Evans got on the scoresheet as City made a winning start to the cup competition.
