BARRY TOWN UNITED 0-1 CARDIFF CITY U21
The young Bluebirds began pre-season with a clash against Barry Town United at Jenner Park, who finished seventh in the Cymru Premier last season.
An important part of pre-season for City is providing physical tests against experienced men's sides, with the fixture against the Linnets proving hugely valuable.
Darren Purse's side claimed a 1-0 victory thanks to a calm penalty from Luke Pearce, who dispatched his effort into the net.

YEOVIL TOWN 2-3 CARDIFF CITY U21
City continued pre-season with a clash against National League side Yeovil Town, who provided a stern test.
With the Glovers going 2-0 up in the first half, City reacted brilliantly, getting a goal back through Mannie Barton, who calmly finished into the net.
The young Bluebirds went level on the hour-mark, with Trey George finding space in the area and clinically firing home.
With just a minute left of the contest, attacker Morgan Wigley was found in the area and applied a composed finish, as City showed great character to come out with a victory.

MERTHYR TOWN 4-6 CARDIFF CITY U21
City's next pre-season text was a clash with Merthyr Town, which proved to be a goal-fest.
Striker Luke Pearce continued his impressive performances in pre-season by netting a hat-trick, building on his experience gained last season after signing from Southampton.
There were also goals for Trey George, Cody Twose and Mannie Barton, as the young Bluebirds netted six goals at Penydarren Park.
Picking up a victory against the Martyrs, our U21s continued their unbeaten run in pre-season.

CARDIFF CITY U21 5-0 WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS
Cardiff City's U21 side completed their pre-season campaign with a resounding victory at home on August 5th.
Will Spiers bagged a brace to open up the scoring against Wolves, with Luke Pearce also on the scoresheet before half-time.
Following the interval, Jake Davies added the young Bluebirds' fourth, with Troy Perrett on hand to net a fifth unanswered goal.
