Our U21s began their preparation for the 2026/27 season with a clash against Poole Town at Cardiff International Sports Campus.
The young Bluebirds fielded two different elevens for each half, including a first appearance in a City shirt for summer recruit Thierry Katsukunya.
In a valuable battle against senior opposition, the contest ended in a 1-1 draw with Troy Perrett finding the net late on.

Pre-season continued with an away clash against Bath City at Twerton Park.
The young Bluebirds raced to an early lead thanks to a strike from Hayden Allmark after being played through by Isaac Davies.
In the second half, victory was secured by Mannie Barton, who converted from the penalty spot following a foul on the attacker in the area.

The young Bluebirds were tested with an away clash against National League opposition, narrowly being defeated by Yeovil Town.
The hosts took the lead with three minutes on the clock as striker Stephen Walker picked out the top corner from the edge of the box.
City were improved in the second half and had chances through Barton, Allmark and Gabriel Keita, but couldn't find a leveller.

After beginning pre-season with three clashes against senior opposition, Darren Purse's side faced Chelsea's U21s behind closed doors.
The young Bluebirds fronted up to the challenge well, claiming an away draw in a goalless contest.
Building momentum heading into the new season, the clash was another step towards full match fitness ahead of the campaign.
TORQUAY UNITED 5-0 CARDIFF CITY U21
Returning to taking on senior opposition, up next for City was an away clash at Plainmoor.
The hosts produced a clinical performance to go into the break four goals ahead, before adding a fifth late on.

LIVERPOOL U21 3-4 CARDIFF CITY U21
The Bluebirds continued their preparations for the campaign with a 4-3 victory away at Liverpool.
Centre-back Katsukunya, fellow defender Caden Voice and midfielder Cody Twose all got on the scoresheet in the first half to put City in the ascendancy.
With the hosts fighting back in the second half, Jake Davies' goal proved vital in securing the win.
