PRE-MATCH | MATTHEW BLOXHAM
Ahead of the contest, Matthew Bloxham told Cardiff City TV: "We’re really looking forward to playing a tough opponent, a Category One side and a team that are very different from our usual games programme. We’ll have to raise our level, but we’ve shown previously, like against Everton for example, that we can do that and we can excel.
"We know they’ve got some players who can play, but they’ve also got players who can stretch the game and be physical and we’ll have to be prepared for that. Having said that, I think we’ve done everything we can in the build-up, we’ve had good preparation. It’s about executing our gameplan and ensuring that we can control what we do and when we have the ball, we’re exciting to watch."
PRE-MATCH | ADETEYE GBADEHAN
Adeteye Gbadehan, who has been in impressive form for our U21s, added: "As a squad, we’re really looking forward to it. We know it’s a big game. They’re a Category One team, so we know it’ll be a challenge, but we’re looking to win our battles and hopefully win the match.
"We have won a lot of tough games in this competition. Our group wasn’t easy as well, we had to beat Everton just to make it to this stage, so we want to keep pushing and show everyone what we can do.
"We know we can beat Category One teams. Blox says all the time that we have the players to compete. We have to believe in that and do it."
