PRE-MATCH | MATTY APTER

Ahead of the contest, midfielder Matty Apter said: "The break has been valuable for us; it's given us time to rest and recover. We had a busy schedule and a long series of games prior to the break, so it was good to have some time to recover. That being said, we're all excited to get going again on Friday.

"We went into the break with a lot of momentum after putting in some great performances. There was a short turnaround between fixtures during that period, so we didn't have much time to work on things between games. The break has offered us time to train and learn a few things that we'll look to put into practice going forward.

"The outcome wasn't what we wanted against Burnley, but we played well in that game and were unlucky to not get a result. If we keep that level of performance, it'll stand us in good stead for Friday.

"We know QPR are going to be a good side and a tough test for us, but it's up to us to stand up to that.
