City's U21s defeated Wigan Athletic in their first away fixture of the 2026/27 campaign.
MATCH SUMMARY
The Bluebirds were looking to bounce back from defeat against Barnsley and did exactly that with an impressive performance.
City went into the break with a 3-1 lead thanks to a goal from Troy Perrett and a brace from Kion Etete, with Perrett netting his fourth goal in three games.
The second half saw a further two goals for the side, with Herbie James and Jake Davies both getting on the scoresheet.

"For me as a player, my focus is to do my role to the best of my ability to help the team. I want to score and assist more but that will come as long as I'm getting in the right areas."

Our U21s' season began with a Premier League Cup fixture against AFC Bournemouth, in which the Bluebirds produced an impressive performance.
Goals from Jack Sykes and Rob Tankiewicz, along with Troy Perrett's brace saw City claim a 4-1 victory.
The opening game of the league season ended in defeat however, as the side fell to a 2-1 loss at home to Barnsley, with Perrett on the scoresheet.
