U21 Match Preview | Swansea City vs. Cardiff City
Cardiff City's U21 side kicks off the week with a trip to face Swansea City on Monday night - 7pm KO.
Please note that as this is an away fixture, Cardiff City TV will not be livestreaming the match on Monday night. However, highlights will be available to watch afterwards.
The young Bluebirds will be looking to return to winning ways following their defeat against Ipswich Town last time out. Joel Colwill opened the scoring early on against the Tractor Boys, but a second-half comeback by the visitors at Leckwith meant that City were left without as the final whistle blew.
Meanwhile, Swansea City sit in fourth place on the PDL South table, having earned a total of 32 points from 20 matches played so far this season.
The Swans have not been defeated at home in 16 league matches, making their home form formidable, though recent turnouts on the whole have gone wanting as they have fallen to three consecutive defeats in all competitions, including a 7-3 loss against Ipswich Town in the PDL.
In December's reverse fixture against Swansea City, the young Bluebirds impressed with a comprehensive 3-0 victory in Leckwith.
James Crole, Cameron Antwi and Joel Colwill all got their names on the scoresheet with a trio of well-taken goals, which went unanswered by the visitors as City's defensive efforts ensured a clean sheet.
