City boss Brian Barry-Murphy chatted with the assembled press following the 1-1 draw with Wycombe Wanderers on New Year’s Day.
The Bluebirds put in a strong attacking performance, but they couldn’t find the winning goal against a defiant host.
“We always want to win all of the games we go into,” Brian began. “The players are human. While we've been so dominant and created so many good chances, chances we'd normally take, today we just couldn't. I'm very pleased with large parts of the performance again.
“We went to Lincoln and Bolton and places like that and produced what we thought were okay performances but didn't create enough chances. Today we produced a lot of chances.
“Some of our play was exhilarating at times. Wycombe are a very good team, especially at home, and we were fully aware of that.
"How we started the game was exactly how I visualised it. We were on the front foot the whole game and I can't really ask for more than that, apart from the goals we feel we deserved.”
Central defender Gabriel Osho came back into the starting XI for the first time in over a month, following injury and put in an assured 70+ minute display.
Brian added: “It was a brilliant performance. I was really happy to get him back involved. He wants to show his teammates and our supporters what he can do.
“I think you saw clear signs today of what he will bring to the team when he's fully fit.
“He gave everything and was pretty fatigued when he came off. He's only had a few days of training.
“We made a lot of changes because we wanted to produce a really energetic and highly dynamic performance for our supporters, who travel in such numbers.
“We did that. It's just a little bit disappointing we couldn't score the goals.”
Since taking over in the summer, Brian has overseen 33 competitive matches, with only three of them ending all square.
BBM concluded: “We haven't been involved in many draws. Our mindset as a team in our dressing room is to go for everything and always be aggressive as possible.
“You saw that against Chelsea. We're try to make it clear to our players of who we want to be and how we want to play.”
