Joel Colwill has been with the Bluebirds since he was six years old, and made his First Team bow in August 2023.

Having regularly trained with the First Team during his time at the Club, the midfielder played his first senior game in a Carabao Cup victory over Colchester United in August 2023, before making his Sky Bet Championship debut against Middlesbrough in April 2024.

After excelling on loan at Cheltenham Town and Exeter City during the 2024/25 campaign, Joel made his first Cardiff City league start in the 2-1 victory over Peterborough United on the opening day of the 2025/26 season.

He was rewarded for his strong start to the campaign with a first senior Wales call-up, and came off the bench to make his international debut in a friendly fixture against Canada in September 2025.
