Joel Colwill has been with the Academy since he was six years old.

Having regularly trained with the First Team during his time at the Club, the midfielder made his Senior debut in an EFL Cup victory over Colchester United in August 2023, before making his Sky Bet Championship debut against Middlesbrough in April 2024.
