Calum Scanlon returned to South Wales on 15th August 2026, for a second spell as a Cardiff City player.

On February 1st, 2026, the left-back joined City on loan from Liverpool, making the Welsh capital his home for the remainder of the 2025/26 campaign where he helped the Bluebirds earn automatic promotion to the Sky Bet Championship.

After making eight appearances during his first spell in South Wales, Calum returned to the Club on a season-long loan deal ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

An England international at youth level, Calum began his career within Birmingham City’s academy system before joining Liverpool in 2020, aged 15. He made his senior debut for the Reds in October 2023, featuring in a Europa League victory over Toulouse.
