TRAVEL TIPS

By Car: The car journey from Cardiff City Stadium to the Tykes' home will take approximately four hours, via the M4, M5, M42. The postcode for Oakwell is S71 1ET.

Parking: Away supporters should use the Queens Ground car park (S71 1AN) with cars charged £5, minibuses (under 16 seater) at £10 and coaching spaces are £20.

By Public Transport: Barnsley Interchange is a modern transport hub located just a 15 minute walk from Oakwell. The station is served by trains running between Leeds, Huddersfield and Sheffield. 

From the interchange, turn left and away from the town centre and head towards and then under the bridge that the dual carriageway runs across. Once under the bridge, cross the road carefully and turn left up the slip road before taking the first right turn onto Queens Road. Then, head forward towards the Metrodome Leisure Complex and Oakwell will quickly become visible at the bottom of the hill on Grove Street.

Oakwell has a capacity of 23,287.

The stadium was built in 1888 and was extensively redeveloped in the 1990s, with only the original main stand left standing.

Away fans are located in the North Stand, with a usual allocation of around 2,000. Concourses show live TV, usually Sky Sports and are open 90 minutes prior to kick-off.

Refreshments are available throughout Oakwell within the supporter concourses. 

There are bar and refreshment facilities within these areas that offer a range of food. From pies (vegan included), chips and burgers, to hot dogs, chicken and pizza. Confectionary as well as both alcoholic and soft drinks are also on offer. 

They have craft beer on tap, Carling, Madri and John Smith's on draught. All food is cooked and served fresh, with queuing expected at peak times. 

Payments via card are encouraged inside Oakwell, but cash payments are also available.
