Lawrence becomes City's second deadline day signing...


Cardiff City FC can confirm that Welsh international, Tom Lawrence, has joined the Bluebirds on loan from Leicester City for the remainder of the 2015/16 season, subject to international clearance.

Having begun his professional career at Manchester United in 2013, Tom signed for the Foxes the following summer. He spent time on loan at Rotherham during the 2014/15 campaign, before spending the first part of this season with Blackburn Rovers.

Whilst at Ewood Park, Tom made twenty-one appearances, scoring twice. His final apperaance came against Oxford United in Saturday's fourth round FA Cup tie.

Twenty-two year Tom has featured twice for the Welsh national side, playing the full ninety minutes in November’s 3-2 defeat to the Netherlands at Cardiff City Stadium. His senior debut came a month prior, in the 2-0 European Championship Qualifier victory over Andorra.

The attacker will wear the vacant number 37 shirt for the remainder of this season.
