WARNOCK | I'VE BEEN AMAZED BY THE SUPPORT

Club News

Neil Warnock spoke to the assembled press and media at the Vale Resort this morning, looking ahead to City’s trip to Nottingham Forest late on Saturday afternoon.

Having battled to victory over Bristol City and a draw with Sheffield Wednesday since Warnock’s arrival, the Bluebirds head to face Forest looking to extend their unbeaten run to three games.

Warnock began by praising his troops and the efforts that they have put in since he took the reins in the Welsh capital.

“They’ve been super since I’ve been here,” he began. “And they’ve listened to what we want. As long as they give me everything, that’s all I can expect.

“They’re difficult games with Bristol City, Sheffield Wednesday and Forest – and it doesn’t get any easier over the next few weeks!"

The City boss went on to give some detail on how City may line up on Saturday afternoon, saying: “You’ve got to be able to win games home and away, and that’s how I look at my team. I don’t think I’ve ever gone anywhere for a point.

“We’ll be looking to win the game. I know the quality players that they’ve got, but we’ll try and get organised, limit them and create more."

On a final note, Warnock let us know how pleased he has been with the reaction from the club and supporters, since he became City manager earlier this month.

“I’ve always thought it was a good club,” he added. “But I’ve been surprised and amazed by the support from everywhere – not just in the city but from the valleys and all.

“It’s been great to get that response and to actually stamp the way that I want to play so quickly in a short space of time.”
