‘The Back 4’ Event

Throughout the last six weeks, young people have been attending our ‘Back 4’ employability and skills programme, which aims to help them prepare themselves for the working world before helping them find work.

A celebration was held at Cardiff City Stadium as a number of learners completed the course, as well as finding employment with the help of their employability coaches. The event brought stakeholders, potential new participants and funders together to showcase the success of the young people.

Futsal Celebration

Following the accomplishments of our Futsal teams in recent weeks, we held a celebration at House of Sport to recognise the achievements of a number of our Education & Sport students.

Our boys ‘A’ Team were crowned champions of the EFL Trust Futsal South West Division, staying unbeaten in every round of the tournament before finishing six points ahead of Newport County to clinch the title with two of the team members also represting the South West in the Regional side.

The girls also earned the plaudits as they travelled to Birmingham and won the EFL Trust Ladies Shield for a second successive year.

Foundation Ball

The Foundation Ball has returned for another year following the success of 2017’s event. Hosted by comedian Mike Doyle, the Ball helps support both the official charity of Cardiff City Football and the DM Thomas Foundation for Young People.

The fundraising auction could see you behind the wheel of a supercar, or even sharing a meal with the Cardiff City first team.
