Pre-Season: North America 2019
We're pleased to announce that Cardiff City will visit North America this summer as part of their preparations for the 2019/20 Sky Bet Championship season.
While in the USA, Neil Warnock's side are set to take in matches at USL Championship teams San Antonio FC & New Mexico United.
Cardiff City will finish their tour in Canada on Saturday, July 20th 2019, facing La Liga side Real Valladolid in Edmonton.
Saturday 13th July - San Antonio vs. Cardiff City - Toyota Field Stadium, San Antonio (7.30pm local)
Thursday 18th July - New Mexico United vs. Cardiff City - UNM Soccer Stadium, University of New Mexico, Albuquerque (7pm local)
Saturday 20th July - Cardiff City vs. Real Valladolid - Commonwealth Stadium, Edmonton (7pm local)
Executive Director & CEO, Ken Choo, said: “We’re delighted to take Cardiff City over to North America for our 2019 pre-season tour.
“The suggestion is that this trip will provide a tough test for the squad ahead of what we are all hoping will be a competitive and successful 2019/20 Championship campaign.”
Neil Warnock added: “I think it’s a great opportunity to get the lads away for ten days and play three tough matches at great facilities.
“We’re also hoping to soon confirm an attractive home match against foreign opposition for the final Saturday before the season starts.”
