Sean Morrison, Mark Harris, Kieffer Moore and Sheyi Ojo were all on target in a dominant display at CCS.

Neil Harris made three changes to his side for the contest, with Will Vaulks, Ojo and Harris all coming into the starting line-up.

City looked to attach from the offset, as Joe Ralls found Harry Wilson on the right. He slid an inch-perfect pass through to his international teammate Moore, whose effort was deflected wide.

From the resulting scorer, the Bluebirds had the ideal start thanks to a captain's goal from Morrison. Wilson's corner was flicked onto to the back post where the skipper was on hand to turn home the opener.

It got even better for City before the ten-minute mark as Harris scored his first competitive goal for the club. Ojo showed his pace on the break before feeding the 21-year-old, who confidently dispatched the ball into the bottom corner.

The Hatters did show some attacking intent at the other end, but struggled to call Smithies into serious action. The stopper did have to be on hand to tip Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu's effort around the post though.

Harris was looking sharp as he partnered Moore in attack and soon had a volley from 30 yards deflect wide, with the Bluebirds in the hunt for a third.

He had a superb chance to double his personal tally when Simon Sluga slipped with the ball at his feet. Harris pounced on the opportunity but saw his effort saved by the visiting 'keeper.

Moore was next to try his luck as City turned the screw. He latched onto a ball over the top, chested it down and rifled a left-footed effort at Sluga.

The visitors made a double change ten minutes before the break in an attempt to stem the flow. While Glen Rea did whistle an effort past the post, the Bluebirds' pressure continued into the second half.

Joe Ralls almost got on the score sheet after Morrison's flick-on, but headed just wide of target.

However, the home side did net their third on the hour mark. Wilson's in-swinging corner found the head of Moore, who made no mistake from point-blank range.

With a congested fixture list in the build-up to the festive period, both sides made a succession of changes, with City giving the likes of Ralls, Moore, Wilson and Harris a breather.

But Harris' men weren't finished yet as Ojo picked up the ball after Marlon Pack's corner and hammered it past the 'keeper to round the performance off in style.

There was still time for Welsh international Joe Morrell to clatter the woodwork from outside the box.

But the final whistle brought a close to an emphatic performance at CCS, where the Bluebirds will face Huddersfield Town this Tuesday.
