Craig Bellamy Unveils #ClubGOTM "Wall of Honour"

On Tuesday, Craig Bellamy visited the Cardiff City House of Sport complex to unveil our brand new “Wall of Honour” celebrating each winner of our “Club Goal of The Month” competition.

Cardiff City is principled on its intentions to strip what is one of the greatest business monopolies in the world back to the grass root understanding of a shared sense of passion and enjoyment of football. The Bluebirds are ever proud, and rightfully so, to be amongst the first to bring about recognition for total inclusion and participation in our favourite sport. The nature of this monthly incentive is such that our Development, Academy, Women, Futsal and Disability Teams compete along side nominations from our young players at our Soccer Schools and overseas nominations from 1MCC and The Craig Bellamy Foundation based in Sierra Leone for your votes as they look to impress above the Seniors.

This week, Craig Bellamy visited the House of Sport facility, accompanied by the BBC to talk about all the great work that goes on behind the scenes at the Community and Education Foundation. Whilst leading a tour around the House of Sport, both phases one and two – from our classrooms, to our indoor 3G pitch, to our futsal courts; Craig spoke highly of the ever developing facilities at the Foundation and was ever keen to get involved in each session, much to the delight of the young players.

The Goal of The Month initiative has been a huge success with the support and involvement of our fans voting every month. To that end, show your support too - take a look on YouTube and cast your vote each month; you could be in with a chance of winning two hospitality tickets for a home match at Cardiff City Stadium – and given the incredible atmosphere at home this season, that’s a top prize for any football fanatic!

Be sure to catch Craig on BBC One's Football Focus this Saturday and again on Match Of The Day 2 on November 24th.
