Bellamy called-up to Wales squad

City's Declan Johnand full-backCraig Bellamy have been called-up to the Wales squad for their final World Cup qualification matches against Macedonia and Belgium.

Chris Coleman's side take on Macedonia at Cardiff City Stadium on Friday 11th October before travelling to face group leaders Belgium at the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels on Tuesday, 15th October, kick-off 8pm.



Elsewhere, midfielder Gary Medel has been picked in Chile's squad for their final qualifiers against Columbia and Ecuador. Chile need just two points from their final games to secure their place at next summer's World Cup in Brazil and travel to Columbia on Friday 11th October before returning to Santiago to face Ecuador on Wednesday 16th October for their final qualification match.

Also looking to take a step closer to World Cup qualification is Aron Gunnarsson and Iceland. The City midfielder has been called-up once again to captain his side as they take on Cyprus at the Laugardalsvollur Stadium, in Reykjavik on Friday, 11th October before travelling to Oslo to face Norway on Tuesday, 15th October.

Iceland are currently in second spot in Group E and are on course for a play-off spot as one of the best runners-up for next summer's World Cup in Brazil.

Already qualified for next summer's World Cup, South Korea have called-up City midfielder Kim Bo Kyung for their preparation games against Brazil and Mali. Korea face next summer's hosts in Seoul on Saturday 12th October before welcoming African opponents Mali to Cheonam on Tuesday, 15th October.



As announced yesterday, City 'keeper David Marshall has been called-up to the Scotland squad for their final World Cup qualifier against Croatia.

Scotland round-off what has been a disappointing campaign overall with a final qualifier against Croatia at Hampden Park on Tuesday, 15th October (kick-off 8pm) with the City stopper keen to maintain his place in Gordon Strachan's starting eleven.

Marshall claimed the number one shirt for their 2-0 defeat to Belgium during the last International break, maintaining his spot for their following qualifier and 2-1 win over Macedonia in Skopje just a few days later, only to be forced off through injury at half-time.

City DVP's Tommy O'Sullivan has also received an International call-up after being included in Wales' Under-21 squad for their qualifiers against Lithuania and San Marino. City goalkeeper David Richards and Theo Wharton have also been named on the stand-by list for the Under-21s.
