Senior Team draw 2-2 at the Greenhous Meadow

The Bluebirds continued pre-season preparations with a 2-2 draw at League One Shrewsbury Town on Saturday afternoon.

Goals from Joe Mason and Anthony Pilkington put City ahead in the fixture after Town striker Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro had given his side an eight-minute lead from the penalty spot.
A flurry of second half changes for both sides brought about a reduction in the game’s fluidity, though Shrewsbury found a late equaliser four minutes from time in scrappy fashion courtesy of James Collins.
Sammy Ameobi made his Bluebirds bow in this one, drawing adulation for his 45 minute performance from the 800+ travelling Bluebirds supporters.
Russell Slade’s side travel to Holland on Sunday ahead of two more pre-season fixtures.
