WARNOCK | "WE WANT TO CONTINUE THAT RUN"

Club News

Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock addressed the press and media at his pre-Wigan Athletic press conference at the Vale Resort this morning.

Warnock warned his troops that, despite claiming seven points from his first three matches, the Bluebirds will need to be at their best if they are to defeat the Latics at CCS.

“I’ve always thought that Wigan would be our toughest game,” he admitted. “I said that to the lads when everyone started talking about the games that we’ve got.

“That’s the Championship – I’ve seen it all and done it all really – and the games against the teams down around where you are are always the toughest.

“We’ll have to be right on top of our game to come away with the points. We’re favourites with the position we’re in and the run that we’re on at the moment, but we want to continue that run.

“It’s nice to put smiles on people’s faces. The atmosphere is very good at the moment too, not just at the club, but around the town, which is important."
