NEIL WARNOCK SIGNS NEW CITY DEAL

Club News
We are delighted to confirm that prior to kick-off with Fulham on Saturday, 25th February 2017, Neil Warnock put pen to paper on a new deal that will keep him with the Bluebirds for the 2017/18 season.

Assistant Manager Kevin Blackwell and First Team Coach Ronnie Jepson have also committed themselves to the Club.

Speaking on Friday, Neil said: “I’ve not been this excited about a job in many years.

“I can’t thank Tan Sri Vincent and the Cardiff City Board enough for the support they’ve given me since day one – and indeed the speed with which we were able to conclude our talks.

“We’re all singing from the same hymn sheet and with a unified approach across the Club we’re going to give things a real go next season.”

Cardiff City Chairman Mehmet Dalman added: “This is fantastic news for the Club and I’m delighted that Neil has extended his time with us.

“The progress we’ve made on the field since Neil came to us in October is evident. I’m very confident that we can continue that excellent work with him at the helm.”

Cardiff City FC Executive Director & CEO Ken Choo added: “This is the news that we all wanted to hear and I’m personally thrilled that we’ve been able to work with Neil to agree this deal.

“I know that Tan Sri Vincent Tan has spoken with him many times in recent weeks and that they have a solid relationship, built on trust. He’s as thrilled as all of us that Neil is staying as Cardiff City FC Manager.”
