Aaron Ramsey wins Sky Bet Championship August Goal of the Month

Aaron Ramsey's stunning strike against Leicester City has won the EFL Sky Bet Championship August Goal of the Month Award.

Rambo fought off competition from Jay Stansfield, Ozan Tufan and Ryan Hedges to win the award for his fine effort at the King Power Stadium.

Speaking after collecting his award, Aaron said: "It’s definitely up there as one of my best goals. I struck it really nicely, and sometimes you know when you hit the ball that it’s got half a chance. I knew straight away, and thankfully it went into the top corner.

"Rallsy would say that it was all in the assist that he gave me – he said that it was asking to be hit! I think you’re just trying to make a nice, clean connection with the ball, and if you do that, these balls can move and shift all over the place.

"It was just about concentrating on the strike, and thankfully it was a decent one!"
