Erol Bulut speaks to the press

Bulut pre-Blackburn | We are refreshed

Interviews
Erol Bulut spoke to the press ahead of our Sky Bet Championship clash against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.

The fixture is City's first since since the international break, with the Bluebirds currently eighth in the table.

"Everybody had a good few days to rest, also mentally and to be fresh. We could see in the training sessions that they had a good rest and they came back well.

"We had a great four wins in a row, then we had injuries, where we only got one point from two games, but now, this is the past. We have to look forward.

"Now, we have, until the next break, five games and we have to give everything to take as many points as we can. These four wins in a row, it's finished, it's in the past. We have to look forward."

The City boss continued by giving an injury update on his squad.

"Aaron [Ramsey] has started running slowly. He's doing well. I think [Callum] O'Dowda, next week, he will also start slowly.

"For Callum, it can be end of December. Aaron can be earlier, I hope. Our medical department are working and managing it well.

"Yakou [Méïté] is back, so it looks like he will be with us this weekend. Kion [Etete] needs one more week. Next week, he will be with us, I hope.

"We have a squad of 25 and if we miss some players from the main 11, we have to see how we handle it. The coming weeks will be tough, but we will have to manage it well."

During the international break, some City players impressed for their respective nations.

At U21 level, Academy player Cian Ashford netted a fantastic late equaliser for Wales against the Czech Republic.

Erol concluded: "It was a good shot. He's a good winger, skilful, quick and strong. He's only 18-19 years old, so he can still add to his quality.

"We are looking to the Academy, because we have a few players that can help us. In the following weeks, we will have some in our training sessions. They have to be ready if they get a chance, because our squad is tight. They can get a chance at any time."
