On This Day | Conway clinches Championship

History
On This Day in 2013, the Bluebirds secured the Championship title at Turf Moor.

Four days earlier, a home draw with Charlton Athletic had confirmed our promotion, sparking scenes of jubilant celebration at CCS and around the city.

In their very next match, the Bluebirds had the chance to go one better and put their name on the Championship trophy, travelling to face Sean Dyche's Burnley.

City dominated proceedings at Turf Moor and got their reward before the half-hour mark as Craig Conway evaded several markers before curling home a sublime opener.

They would have been disappointed not to claim a 26th victory of the season in Lancashire due to David Edgar's late equaliser; however, a point was enough to seal their fate and the Bluebirds would go up as champions!
