Erol Bulut speaks to the press

Erol pre-Plymouth Argyle | We have to be focused

Interviews
Erol Bulut spoke to the press ahead of our Sky Bet Championship fixture against Plymouth Argyle at Home Park on Saturday.

The City boss began by giving an injury update on his squad.

"Callum O'Dowda and Aaron Ramsey, as you know, will be out. Ramsey was training with us for the first time today, that's a positive point.

"It was the first part with us, so we have to go step by step. Next week, he will be more involved in the session. Next week, we can speak much better about when he will be back playing.

"Of course, his teammates and everyone is happy to see him back and we will be more happy when O'Dowda is back. Then, we will have our squad back and our offensive players back.

"Callum Robinson still has an illness. It looks like Joe Ralls will not be with us and we will see if Rubin Colwill can be with us."

Saturday's opponents are currently 19th in the table, having picked up back-to-back league draws against Watford and Huddersfield Town.

Erol continued: "We played them a few weeks ago at home here; we should have won that game in my opinion. It was the second goal, where we conceded, it was a little bit unlucky. Twice in a row the same player was shooting.

"But, I think even our squad is now less and we don't have many players, we should go there to Plymouth to take the three points, only to focus on three points. It's possible to do it with the squad we have right now. We will do everything for that, to get the three points at Plymouth."

Plymouth Argyle's top scorer is striker Morgan Whittaker, who has scored 15 goals in all competitions this season, with 14 coming in the league.

The attacker is currently joint-second in the top scorers chart in the Sky Bet Championship, trailing Sammie Szmodics of Blackburn Rovers, who has 16, whilst being level with Southampton's Adam Armstrong.

Erol concluded: "This doesn't mean that we will now only focus on Whittaker. We will play our game. We will be focused to not give him the opportunity for shots or the possibility of chances.

"That's why not only the defensive players, all the team have to be well concentrated for the game and my job is to prepare the team for that."
