BARNSLEY REACTION | HARRIS
Neil Harris spoke at Cardiff City Stadium following the Bluebirds’ dramatic 3-2 victory over Barnsley.

Having twice fallen behind, the Bluebirds left it late in the Welsh capital but came out victorious thanks to Lee Tomlin's last-ditch winner.

“My players found a way to win and that’s what good sides do,” began Neil following the final whistle. “Those ten points from four games are from finding a way to win.

“When I’ve got the players behind me on the bench and you can bring on the likes of Danny Ward, Josh Murphy and Will Vaulks, you know you’ve always got a chance.

“I was frustrated and the goals we gave away were really poor, but we found the moments of quality. We’ve got good players, we’ve got good finishers and when you’ve got a magic man like Lee Tomlin, you stay in those games and you can win it at any moment.”

The City boss went on to praise Tomlin’s winner, Aden Flint’s performance and the whole squad’s contribution to the win.

“Credit to Lee Tomlin," he continued. "He’s got a big heart and wants to play for me and do well for Cardiff City. The fans love him and that goes a long way with confidence as a player.

“He gives everything, so he’s not always going to be able to play 90 minutes, but when he’s out there you know at any moment he’s got that quality to open up the defence.

“Aden Flint was a rock and it was one of his best performances in a City shirt. It’s not just about the lads that played, it’s not about Lee Tomlin scoring the winner – it’s about the whole group.”
