Neil Harris held a pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday's Sky Bet Championship clash with Luton Town.
The 3pm kick-off, that you can watch live on Cardiff City TV, is the Bluebirds' first match at CCS since this month's international break.
Harris called for his squad to respond to Wednesday evening's disappointment in the right way as they return to the Welsh capital.
"The lads know that our current set of results isn't good enough for what's expected of us and, most importantly, what we expect of ourselves," he began.
"We know the demands of the football club and the demands we put on each other within our changing room.
"Ultimately, good pros stand up to be counted when that happens and that's what I expect from the group of players on Saturday afternoon.
"I spoke to them from the heart today, to let them know that I care, and I know that they do as well.
"Now, on Saturday it's about picking the right team and tactics and, when the players cross the white line, putting your trust in them."
