Morison post-Millwall | We go again

Interviews
Steve Morison spoke to the press at The Den following the Bluebirds’ narrow loss to Millwall on Saturday afternoon.

“We should’ve had a penalty and then it might’ve been a different game,” began Steve. “We made two bad errors which led to two goals, and we weren’t good enough to score a second goal.

“I said to the players after that sometimes you have to take it on the chin, because when you are scrapping like we’ve been it’s emotional, and mental tiredness as well as physical.

“We need to dust ourselves down, recharge, I’ll pick the best team on Tuesday that’s going to be able to get a result against Coventry - we go again.”

Steve went on to comment on Joel Bagan’s late goal, before revealing why Eli King replaced Rubin Colwill on the bench just before kick-off.

“I thought Joel was excellent,” he continued. “Especially towards the end of the second-half, he started going past people, showing that confidence and he got the goal so I’m really pleased for him and he’s had to be patient – I think it’s done him good.

“Rubin kicked the floor in training so was a little bit sore, but felt he was okay and it was only when he went out and did the warm-up that he was a bit sore, so Eli jumped onto the bench.”
