Bennett: Our fans carry us through!

Ahead of City's visit to Vicarage Road on Saturday, Joe Bennett spoke to the assembled media at the Vale Resort.

The City left-back began by discussing the role that supporters have played at home and away this season.

“You can’t overstate the impact that the fans have," he said. "They really do carry us through games at times and obviously it’s a little different when we’re away, though the number of supporters that travel is amazing."

When asked about the test lying in wait for the Bluebirds on Saturday, Joe continued: “Watford have shown good form this season. They’ve started well and it will be a tough game, we’re going to need to go there and defend very well.

“When we get those chances for ourselves we’ll need to take them. We want to be bold against Watford, we’re looking to get the result that we want."
