Etheridge: The best thing in the world!

Neil Etheridge spoke to iFollow Cardiff City following Cardiff City’s 0-0 draw with Reading that secured promotion to the Premier League.

Neil's 19th clean sheet of the season helped the Bluebirds on their way to the top flight on Sunday afternoon.

“It was emotional to be honest,” began Neil. “The team have been strong all year and to finish it in the way that we did was fantastic.

“There are not many words you can say really - it’s just amazing. We’ve had a fantastic season and I’m so happy to get over the line today.”

The Filipino international concluded by praising the City support who have been in fine voice all season.

“You can probably hear them in the background now - it’s overwhelming,” continued the 28-year-old. “From start to finish – fantastic!

“It’s just amazing. Honestly, it's just the best thing in the world.”
