City midfielder Eli King spoke to Cardiff City TV following our first pre-season match of 2022.
The 19-year-old played the second 45 minutes of the 3-2 victory over Cambridge United on Saturday afternoon.
“The main goal was to show what we’ve been doing in training on and off the ball," Eli began. “We want to get the fitness up there as well and I thought we carried ourselves well.
“I want to play as much as possible and get my fitness up. I’d like to find where my role is in this team and keep getting sharper.
“I want to be ready for the season when I’m called upon."
