City Stars surprise Kids Cup

Over the last fortnight, the Bluebirds Charity has been hosting qualifiers for the EFL Trust Utilita Football Kids Cup in partnership with New Directions Education.

Will Vaulks, Isaac Vassell, Marlon Pack and Aden Flint all took time out of their busy schedules to meet those taking part and watch some of the action, with every team competing to represent Cardiff City FC at the regional finals in Reading.

Launching Inspires

The Bluebirds Charity has launched a new project to support young people in secondary education who are at risk of not achieving their full potential.

The ‘Inspires’ project sets out to work with pupils to develop personal skills and positive attitudes to succeed in life.

Josh Murphy joined guests as they observed the launch in Cardiff West Community High School which included a workshop, practical session and engaged with participants on the programme.

Find out how your school can partner with us on this project by visiting www.cardiffcityfcfoundation.org.uk/partner-with-us.

City awarded for Veterans support

The Foundation are delighted to receive a bronze award from the Ministry of Defence as part of the ‘Defence Employer Recognition Scheme’.

The award is given to an organisation that pledge to support the Armed Forces community and has recognised the Bluebirds Charity’s commitment to providing opportunities and support for veterans and members of the Armed Forces community to gain employment.

The ‘Skills to Work’ element of the programme uses the familiar setting of Cardiff City Stadium as well as other community venues to work closely with veterans, external agencies and employers to support employment and volunteering opportunities.
