Harris | We dedicate that win to the fans back home

BRISTOL CITY REACTION | HARRIS

Neil Harris spoke following the Bluebirds' Severnside Derby victory over Bristol City.

Substitutes Lee Tomlin and Danny Ward combined for an 85th minute winner, and Harris praised the quality of his squad as he dedicated victory to the supporters that couldn't be at Ashton Gate.

"Firstly on behalf of the group: myself, my staff, my players, we dedicate that win to our fans who couldn't be here today," he said.

"We've all spoken about the importance of the squad and the impact off the bench. When we needed that moment of quality, Wardy and Lee Tomlin produced it.

"I thought in the first half we were the better team. We should have been in front, with a lot of blocked shots and goal-line clearances.

"The second half was a little more scrappy, but we had the moments of quality. I thought we deserved to win the game."

City have taken ten points from a possible twelve since the return to action. With more tests lying in wait, Harris went on to explain that his City side will take each fixture as it comes.

"That's four clean sheets in our five games that I'm really pleased with," he continued.

"We've got huge games coming up. All we can do is take it one game at a time, and the next one to focus on is Blackburn on Tuesday night.

"We're resilient, hard-working, aggressive, but we're also playing well – that's a good mix."
